Lulu takes off to NJ

All packed and ready to visit Pop Pop in the frozen tundra of Ramsey.

Lulu (spider witch) and Chu (pirate) stormed the Winston Trails neighborhood today in search of massive amounts of Halloween sugar.

Mission accomplished.

Their adventure got off to a slow start, however, because the pirate could not stand the sight of the spider witch — she was just way to spooky. Fortunately, he was able to collect himself just in time for a stroll around the block.

Chu actually made up for lost time, opting to run from house to house. He had no real interest in candy, actually, barging into homes unannounced, barking back at barking dogs and playing with lawn ornaments.

He got so distracted at one point that he ended up with his face impaled on a sprinkler that protruded from the ground when he tripped … ouch!

Nothing a few quiet minutes in the stroller couldn’t cure.

All in all it was a fun evening for Lulu and Chu. Hopefully, the first of many haunted holidays together as big sister and little brother.

… only sometimes she comes out looking like a three-year-old Amy Winehouse:

… and they are usually never this happy to call it a night:

Too cute.

With looks like this, the ladies could very well be putty in his hands sooner rather than later.

T-minus 15 years … hopefully.

Lulu likes to color

She also likes to paint with watercolors.

Mommy recently got her a new palette at Target and  she has been keeping busy at the kitchen table working on her art projects. She mixes in crayons, markers (just not after tubby time … she often gets her hands all tagged up) and paint, depending on how she feels on a given day.

Lulu knows to stay within the lines and is always very proud of her work. And so are mommy and daddy.

Chu is freaking adorable

It’s hard to argue otherwise with pictures like this:

He’s not edible … trust us. We would have eaten him a long time ago if we could.

Here’s Lulu, peering from her car seat to see what Daddy is doing in the backseat.

The munchkins were happy to see daddy and pick him up at the Fort Lauderdale Airport after a busy weekend in Minnesota.

The feeling was mutual.

Chu has a massive melon

So massive that it squeezes into daddy’s adult-sized New York Giants cap:

Wonder what goes on in there.
